Terms of Service

Effective 27 September 2026

1. These terms

By using getsnag.io or the Snag apps, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use Snag. Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

2. What Snag is

Snag is a shopping discovery service. We show you clothing products offered by third-party retailers and link you to those retailers' own websites and apps.

Snag does not sell products, hold stock, take payment, ship anything or process returns. Every purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, on the retailer's terms. Their pricing, availability, delivery, warranty, returns and customer service are theirs, not ours.

3. Product information

Product details, images, prices and availability come from retailers and affiliate data feeds and can be out of date or wrong. The retailer's own page is always the authoritative one. Check the price there before you buy — if it differs from what Snag showed, the retailer's price is the one that applies.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 to use Snag, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account, to check this, and we do not create an account for anyone younger. Accounts do not exist yet. When they do, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account, and you will be able to pause or delete it from inside the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, bulk-copy or redistribute the catalogue or any part of the service.
  • Generate clicks, referrals or purchases you know to be artificial, or otherwise interfere with commission or referral attribution.
  • Interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Use Snag for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, and withhold any referral earnings attributable to the breach.

6. Affiliate commission disclosure

Snag earns commission on purchases made through links on this service. Many of the links that take you from Snag to a retailer are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, the retailer or its affiliate network may pay us a commission on that sale.

  • It costs you nothing. You pay the retailer's normal price. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin.
  • It does not change what you are shown. Commission rates are not an input to the recommendation or ranking systems. We do not promote a product because it pays better.
  • Clicks are tracked so that attribution works. What that involves is set out in section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
  • Where an influencer referred you, the commission on a qualifying purchase may be shared with them under section 7.

This disclosure is also published on its own page — see Affiliate Disclosure — so it is available without reading these terms in full.

7. Influencer programme and payout terms

The influencer programme is not open yet. This section states the terms it will run under; it takes effect when the programme launches, and anyone joining it will be asked to accept the programme terms in force at that time.

Influencers in the Snag programme receive a referral code and can build curated collections. A payout becomes due on a purchase only when both of the following are true:

  1. the purchase was made by a user who signed up through that influencer's referral code; and
  2. the item purchased came from that influencer's curated collection, or matches it closely enough by style under the criteria published in the programme terms.

A referral on its own never earns a payout, and neither does a purchase by a user who was not referred by that influencer. Both conditions must hold.

Payouts are calculated on commission Snag has actually received and had confirmed by the affiliate network — not on orders at the moment they are placed. Commission on an order that is later cancelled, returned, charged back or rejected by the network is not payable, and any amount already paid on it may be offset against later earnings. Because networks confirm on their own schedule, there is a delay between a purchase and the payout becoming due. Influencers must give us the tax and payment details we need before we can pay, and are responsible for their own taxes and for disclosing the commercial relationship as the law where they operate requires.

8. Intellectual property

The Snag name, software and interface are ours. Product names, images, descriptions and trade marks belong to the retailers and brands they came from, and are shown to identify products offered for sale.

If you believe something on Snag infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent:

Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, a notice must include: your physical or electronic signature; the copyrighted work you say is infringed; the material you say infringes it and where it is on Snag (a link is best); your address, telephone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

We remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers. If something of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address.

10. Service availability and changes

Snag is under active development. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability.

11. Disclaimer

Snag is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that product information is accurate or current, or that any retailer will fulfil an order.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Snag is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any dispute between you and a retailer — including a product not arriving, arriving damaged, or differing from its description. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service is built out. The effective date above changes when we do, and material changes will be announced on this site.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Snag is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not remove any protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you live in.
